Building Division
The Building Division consists of one full-time Senior Building Inspector/Building Official and a part-time inspector. The primary function of the Division is to process building permits, and perform plan checks and field inspections to assure compliance with the Building and City Codes. Annually, the Division responds to an estimated 2500 phone calls and counter assistance services and conducts approximately 1700 field inspections. Building Division staff also respond to violations of the City Code relating to nuisances and substandard housing conditions. Building Division staff is available to assist with construction projects with office hours of: - 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Mondy through Friday
- By Appointment only 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, Monday through Thursday
- Field inspections 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday
- Field Inspections 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Friday.
